Dive into a Virtual Experience
MARTINEZ, CALIFORNIA - Armed with state of the art technology, Oceanic and Destination Diving television series have teamed up to introduce the world to Scuba Diving. With a head-mounted display and an underwater video shot in stereoscopic three-dimensional video, the viewer can get the full feel of an underwater experience without getting wet. " When shooting stereoscopic 3-D we use two underwater cameras mounted on a sled, shooting simultaneous. This results in a true 3-D product. The head-mounted display provides the best means of viewing this type of presentation" stated Steffan Schulz executive producer of Destination Diving. Equipped with this device, Oceanic retailers are setting out to educate the public on the pleasure, excitement and culture the world of Scuba diving has to offer. Nestor Palmero, Director of Sales and Marketing for Oceanic had this to say: "Our Pro Retail Partners are equipped with an unequalled recruiting tool that not only educates the public but provides them with the tools they need to decide to get into Scuba Diving. Our Oceanic Pro Retailers are an exclusive group that offers not only the finest in Oceanic equipment but instruction and travel opportunities as well."
The latest in the series of 3-D videos was shot on location in Freeport Bahamas. It's called "The Oceanic Experience" and includes some informative facts on shark behavior as well as breathtaking underwater footage. "This is the second 3-D video of a series that will be produced for our sponsor, Oceanic. We are also currently filming several travel locations in this same format," says Mr. Schulz. He also told us, "Our goal is to assist in the decision making process by providing retailers with a virtual library. This will permit potential travelers to better realize what they will experience when they visit that destination". The 3-D videos are currently available for sale. They retail for $30.00 but can be viewed for free at select Oceanic Retailers. Visit www.OceanicWorldWide.com for the Retailer nearest you.
With the steady growth in the travel industry, Oceanic and Destination Diving are determined to assist the dive industry to rapidly develop as a major participant in world travel. For more information contact Destination Diving at (925) 229-0920 or send email to fonzy@StrangeMedia.com.
