- In this episode, we visit with marine artist Wyland
and discover his muse – the ocean and the creatures
that inhabit it. With a unique perspective, his art teaches
many generations the beauty and importance of marine ecology.
- Over a dozen oil platforms exist off the coast of California,
with many more scattered in the Gulf of Mexico. While
these structures may be an eyesore, underneath they are
home to an incredible array of marine life. We visit one
such platform and take a look at the ramifications of
disassembling these structures.
- The Channel Islands off the coast of Southern California
are some of the world’s best cold-water dive destinations.
From the majestic kelp forest, to the curious and playful
sea lion, we visit both the land and water surrounding
these beautiful islands. We also join one of the rangers
on a guided island tour and discuss some of the variety
of wildlife that call this reserve: home.
